Permission adjustment for the invite reviewer feature
- 06.11.2025
- 10.563.20
- Change
- Changes for admins
- invite reviewer administration
On 28 August 2025, we introduced the ‘Inviting reviewers’ feature. This feature allows authors to quickly create reviewers. However, it also means that administrators lose control over user management. Our general authorisation and user management concept intends that only administrators or persons with access to user management should be able to create, edit and delete users. With this feature, we essentially gave all authors the permission to add any number of users (Reviewers) to the LXT platform.
Tests: Quizzes Order and Value Slider available
- 27.10.2025
- 10.558.0
- Feature Improvement
- LXT Authoring Changes for authors
- test value slider order Quizzes
Added support for ‘Order’ and ‘Value Slider’ quiz types in learning module tests.
Unlike previously available quiz types, these can be set to the correct answer by default (correct order selected or slider positioned at the correct value). Therefore, answers must be explicitly confirmed before being saved.
Changes to the Sidebar
- 22.10.2025
- 10.554.2
- LXT Authoring Changes for authors
To make place for future features, we will be changing the layout of the sidebar menu.
The links tab depicted as a chain on the sidebar will no longer be found there. Instead, the links tab will from now on be found in the statistics tab depicted with the encircled “i” higher on the sidebar.
In the comparison below, you can see on the left where the links tab will be found from now on, as well as the new sidebar to the right. In the picture on the right, you can compare where the feature used to be.
That way, when new tabs are added in the future to accommodate new features, the dimensions will remain the same while another feature is added to the sidebar.
AI text assistance: Creation of texts with didactic intent

- Text AI element text generator
If you have activated AI functions in your LXT, you can use the AI assistant to generate text for the text element. Here, you can now include the didactic intent based on our successful guide “The Didactic Architect.” Simply click on the appropriate didactic intent and generate a text.
We have also made a cosmetic improvement to this menu: the individual options (context, didactics info, scope) can now be expanded or collapsed. This gives you a better overview.
DeepL in LXT: Translate multiple languages at once

- translation DeepL
You can now translate your learning modules directly into multiple languages. In the translation dialogue, you can now select multiple languages as the target language. Copying into the target languages is then preset.
LXT creates a job in the background for each language. You will receive a notification for each completed translation, which you can find in your list of background jobs (Profile -> Background jobs).
Element Text: Extended inner spacing
- 07.10.2025
- Feature Improvement
- LXT Authoring Changes for authors
- Content-Elements Text appearance drop shadow
In LXT, many of our customers like to use drop shadows as an option for text elements with stylesheet „Default“. However, this comes with the cosmetic disadvantage that the text and drop shadow are positioned too close together. To use text elements with drop shadows in a visually appealing way, you had to use either text formatting functions or an expanded element group.
This workaround is no longer necessary, as there is now a new “Extended inner spacing” toggle. This creates the needed space around the text.
Make two-factor authentication mandatory
- 29.09.2025
- 10.548.0
- Feature Improvement
- LXT Engagement Changes for admins
- 2FA Security two-factor authentication
Previously, users could set up two-factor authentication (2FA) via their profile settings when the function was enabled (see changelog in german). As an administrator, you can now set that this setting is mandatory. You may activate the function in the feature management. When users log in for the first time with their login name and password, they must also set up 2FA immediately.

- password management password
When you create new users with a one time password or invite them via a link, these users will be shown a page where they must set their new password after entering the one time password or clicking on the link. To make it clearer to the user what to do here, we have made the following adjustments:

From now on, there is a system permission that allows users with access to learning module management but without editing permissions for learning modules to see the author title. To do this, the user group must be assigned the system permission “Show author title.”
