On 28 August 2025, we introduced the ‘Inviting reviewers’ feature. This feature allows authors to quickly create reviewers. However, it also means that administrators lose control over user management. Our general authorisation and user management concept intends that only administrators or persons with access to user management should be able to create, edit and delete users. With this feature, we essentially gave all authors the permission to add any number of users (Reviewers) to the LXT platform.
We have now changed this. From now on, this feature is reserved for users with access to user management. Authors will now see a message in the permissions dialogue indicating that they are not permitted to use this function. To ensure that not every author has to have access to user management in order to use this feature, administrators can decide which user groups (authors) should continue to be able to invite reviewers by assigning the system right ‘Invite reviewers’.
Please contact us if you have any questions. We will be happy to help you with the configuration if anything is unclear.
